I'm YOUD, founder of Instant Locs Canada, and my passion has always been helping people transform. Not only their hair, but their future.
With over 30 years of experience in the hair industry and more than 5 years specializing in locs, I understand that true mastery comes from continuous learning and an unwavering commitment to excellence. That's why I chose to train with one of the most respected names in the loc industry, Kris McDred.
Today, I am proud to be a Kris McDred Master Loctician and an official member of the Kris McDred Academy, where I have the privilege of teaching the Academy's hands-on training program to students across Canada. Every class I teach reflects the high standards, techniques, and philosophy that have made the Academy internationally respected.
My commitment to education doesn't stop there. I am also a Sisterlocks Trainee, allowing me to deepen my understanding of precision locking systems and the science behind healthy loc care. I believe that the best educators never stop being students themselves.
Throughout my career, I have learned that beautiful results are not created by talent alone. They are built through knowledge, discipline, precision, and respect for every client's hair.
That responsibility requires integrity, technical excellence, and attention to detail. It is the standard I hold myself to, and the standard I expect from every student who trains with me.
Learning this craft transformed my own life. It gave me the freedom to build my business, create opportunities, and inspire others to believe in themselves. Because someone once believed in me and shared knowledge that changed my life, I now consider it both a privilege and a responsibility to pass that knowledge on.
